Macro Collage

It was absolutely beautiful out today (a little cold but beautiful) so I scooped up my camera and headed outside. I decided to take pictures of my surroundings because they make me feel happy and relaxed and I wanted my collage to portray those kinds of feelings. I tried different angles and distances with my macro option turned on. My dogs are two of my best friends and they always make for great subjects. When I took the picture of the blackberry I held my lens so close that it was touching it...I tried to get that close to the bee but I really did not want to get stung.
So...Here is my collage! I hope I did this right.

I like how you mix the two dogs in with all the flowers, reminds me of 'dogwood" (they are flowering shrubs & trees, very pretty). What is the least amount of distance that you can be at to take a picture at? Did you have to use a flash with any of your pictures?

The dog pictures are just adorable! I find it really hard to take a good picture of an animal, but yours turned out great.

Aren't flowers a lot of fun to photograph? And your bee seemed to come out better than any I've attempted. Very cute dogs too; did you arrange the pictures so that the dogs kind of made the frame?

Christina,

Nice photos and great collage. I especially like the white border and how the photos look as if they have been nonchalantly tossed/placed. I print all my 4x6 photos with the white border. It just seems to give it that extra touch and sort of vintage too.

I agree completely about the white boarder, it really makes the photos pop out and gives the collage more of an artsy feeling. Nice pictures!

Although this is unrelated to photography, I am still curious, how old is your golden?

Sorry to post another comment, but I was just noticing that the background to your collage looks like the middle pink flower. Is it?

Nice collage. Did you hold your camera close to the subject when you took the pictures? I used the zoom on some of mine and they still came out great. I like the layout you chose for the collage.

I like the way you mixed the dogs with the flowers, great combination of colors. I like the white borders, I think it makes the photos stand out better.

I know I'm not supposed to say "I totally agree" but I am in agreement with Rachelle that the combination of the dogs and flowers makes this collage feel great. Like coming home. I do not have options on my Picasa for anything but the Polaroid-looking picture pile. I like you border which is even all the way around.
